Primary Program Information

The Primary Program provides stimulating activities for children who are four years old by September 1, 2017 and entering Jr. Kindergarten through grade 1. These activities are carefully chosen by the professional staff to encourage growth in all areas of development. Activities are constructed in a child-centered environment and arranged around the needs of the group. Certified teachers structure a fun-filled day centered on read alouds, art projects, outdoor activities, math readiness activities and social interactions. The students look forward to the engaging activities, water play on the hot summer days, and meeting new friends. A certified teacher and one assistant teach each classroom. Each primary student is assigned to a classroom for the duration of the program.

The Primary Program will be housed at The Skokie School, 520 Glendale Ave., Winnetka. The program is held Monday - Friday, beginning at 8:35 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m.

A welcome email message will be sent in June and will include instructions about The Skokie School use, parking, and teacher assignment. Please use your preferred email address when registering your child, as the welcome materials are no longer mailed.
